Oakwood international has more than ten years of unparalleled experience of designing, delivering and administering Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) qualifications in the cities and countries of the GCC.  We are licenced by both the CIPD in the United Kingdom and the Government of Dubai Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA).

But why does Oakwood deliver CIPD training and qualifications when the CIPD are in the GCC as well?

Two reasons: for a start we’ve been working in this part of the world far longer than the CIPD.  We saw the need for GCC people working in Human Resources and Learning and Development to have appropriate qualifications at a time when the CIPD was almost entirely focussed on the needs of UK people and organisations.  We’ve built our expertise and reputation – and our business – over 15 years:  something that is understood and respected by the CIPD. And we want to go on building the business in years to come.

Secondly, the KHDA requires the CIPD to separate the business of overseeing and awarding HR and L&D qualifications from that of designing and delivering training programmes in those same qualifications. CIPD can is therefore the awarding body that oversees the quality standards, and Oakwood is the provider that designs and delivers training programmes in line with those standards that have been set out by the CIPD.  This guarantees that you and other students of CIPD qualifications get the best service.

Oakwood worked very hard to get KHDA approval and we are proud to say that we were the first CIPD provider in the GCC to gain this approval.

Oakwood never forgets that you have a choice in finding your CIPD qualification provider.  We do all we can to make Oakwood the best choice.
