Phillipa joined Oakwood in May 2021. She has a BSc in Nutritional Medicine and has always been passionate about holistic approaches to health and wellbeing, along with environmental issues and sustainable living. These have been a focus of her professional development and work experience. She worked in private practice as a therapist, nutritional supplement product training, retail management of independent health shops and then into education. Phillipa is also a qualified cognitive behavioural therapist and enjoys supportive roles helping others to develop and make positive changes. Phillipa has a TAQA assessor award (training, assessment and quality assurance).
Phillipa is also TESOL qualified and has experience of teaching English to speakers of other languages both in the UK and overseas. She enjoys language and language learning and has a keen interest in writing, literature and creative arts.
Phillipa has a diverse work history and skill set being both creative and practical. In her early adult years while living in southern Spain and Morocco she was involved with sailing and boating having a boat business and other projects, along with a major house reconstruction project.
